There are 2 seals that paypal offers to stores for their reputation. One of the seal is the Paypal verified seal which looks like this. The other seal is the Paypal world wide seller seal which is offered to the larger stores that provides products world wide and has been a business for a longer term than average stores. You can also determine a sellers reputation is by viewing their number of verified payments received and how long their paypal account has been opened for. There are 3 ways of finding this information. If the store has a seal on their site, you can click on it and will provide you with the # of verified payments received along with the date their account was opened. If the seal is not listed, you can also find this information if you have the stores paypal email address. You will need to login to your paypal account, click send money, enter in the sellers paypal email address, enter in a random amount, choose a currency and select a category of purchase then hit continue. On the next screen you will see the account status. It show a link stating whether it is verified or unverified, confirmed or not confirmed and a number in brackets. The number in brackets is the number of verified payments received. If you click on that link it will provide you with the account type, account creation date, the length of the account opened for, the type of payments the seller accepts and the contact information of the seller. If you do not have the sellers paypal email address, you can alternatively use this method. During the checkout process, you will eventually be lead to a paypal login page. During that process, enter in your paypal login, password and hit continue. On the next page you will then find the information listed above. Keep in mind large stores usually have over 10,000 verified UNIQUE payments received.

What does it mean if the store is verified or confirmed? If a store is verified, it simply means that the seller has their bank account and credit card information confirmed with paypal. It means paypal has their proper legal information. If the paypal account is confirmed, it means their address listed on their account is confirmed.
